Internet - Sweden said yes to wiretapping and digital
Sweden has a law monitoring keywords of all communications and digital phone, which comes into force in January 2009. Fortunately, Internet users were quick to organize ...
A law authorizing surveillance and listening to all communications and digital telephone was passed by 143 votes against 138, by the Swedish parliament last week. This pretext of public security and counter-terrorism, authorizes the FRA (an agency military) to scan any type of communication entering the country, starting in January 2009.
The system works by keywords, such as the U.S. Echelon system. Once a keyword will be delivered during a telephone conversation or will be identified in an email, the system will start and record the communication.
Fortunately, users have begun to organize.
Thus, the Pirate Party (Piratpartiet) announced through its leader, Christian Engström, have the intention of trainer Sweden to the European court of human rights for non-privacy . Even if there is no illusions about the outcome of their complaint, Christian Engström hopes that his gesture will raise awareness of the dangers of Swedish law.
The site The Pirate Bay said on his blog, support the various actions against this law and links to FRApedia, a wiki dedicated to this new measure, and Stoppa FRA-lagen, a site dedicated to the fight against ARF. In addition, The Pirate Bay has also announced its intention to offer encryption software.
Another measure, that of Starring and Tidningen Fria, which just create the site HejFRA (Hello FRA), which offers a small file attached to signing his e-mails, to trigger FRA.
You can change the message at its convenience, and here are two examples of what the site offers:
There is no reason to read my mail. I have nothing to do with Hizb al-Mujahidin, Hamas or the Fedayeen. I've never done Siyam or manufactured nuclear weapons, I know just what Al-Fattah. But I thank you for your interest!
PS. It is unlikely that terrorist attacks are planned by e-mail not encrypted. Sabotons on law www.hejfra.se FRA
